Spotted this guy on my dashcam when he utilized a pretty unconventional (stupid) way to let the Audi know that he didn't like him merging into his lane a couple of minutes earlier. *Note* No use of this video allowed without my personal permission!

I thought I'd show all the mods I did to my E39 in one transformation video. More info on the car: Color: Schiefergruen metallic (#449). The car is stock, exept for an EGR delete. Manual transmission, of course. Running on 225/45R17 studded winter tyres. Sorry about the wobbly angle. BMW E39 - Follow me home lights with NO CODING

BMW E39s actually came with "follow me home"-lights from the factory, it's just hidden. Here's how you do it: -When you turn off the ignition, just drag the blinker-stalk towards you once and the low-beams stay on for 40 seconds. And that's it! Pretty cool, huh? The car is a 2002 with the M47d20. The exhaust is all stock exept for the rear muffler. Headphones/speakers recommended for the right impression. Enjoy!

@@gabzh You're welcome! E91, 320D Face-lift. Fits me perfectly for now. Next step is 6-series. BTW, just how much a simple youtube video can influence someone's life path. I remember that i started working on my dad's car, an e39, trying to make it look like yours, i was 17, really loved doing work related to cars. And i ended up at 19, to take a bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering in Romania. This week i graduated. Now i am going for a Master Degree in Automotive engineering in The Netherlands, and everythig began with your video :)

I have the same old Steering Wheel in my E39. How did you changed it to the M5 one. I had Problems with the slip ring because its on the steering wheel in old models. On the M5 its on the Steering column.
I changed to a wheel with the same airbag setup, making it plug and play. It's different from the single stage to the dual stage airbag systems. If my memory serves me right, the dividing line in production is march of '99.

I bought a zhp gearknob for my 39 but the lower leather ring is wider than the bottom of the gearknob did you modify the leather in any way?

I own an e39 2003 now because my e34 got written off big time big upset in my life , but when I Brought this car , I felt i was back in my e34 again ❤. Strange feeling man, i think sebine been reincarnated.
